Stress & Cortisol Relief™

As the saying goes, "stress kills," and I completely believe it. I created Stress Cortisol Relief™ because I personally burned out in my 30's. I was running a business, dealing with clients, traveling, and the stress just kept piling on.

When I would do cortisol blood tests, sometimes my cortisol was high (from stress), sometimes low (from fatigue) and sometimes normal. But when I did the saliva cortisol tests (4x daily) my levels were much worse because saliva tests tend to be more accurate for cortisol.

However, other things I noticed during times of stress:

  • Lower testosterone levels
  • Low sex drive, difficulty getting erections (this one was easy to notice)
  • Poor sleep
  • High blood sugar and A1C levels
  • Feeling "blah", not motivated, poor results at the gym
  • Extra belly fat (was it cortisol, blood sugar, testosterone, or all the above?)
  • Short-tempered - feeling angry or frustrated over little things

I started experimenting with different herbs, minerals, "adaptogens," and so forth. Little by little, I felt better and within a few months, I was feeling happy and youthful again.

But instead of spending over $150+ a month on 5-6 different supplements, I figured I'd combine the best ones into an all-in-one formula and that's when I created Stress Cortisol Relief™

This saves me time and money. These days, I take it daily. About an hour before bed to help lower cortisol levels and thus, allow melatonin to rise. And the other time I take it is after my workouts.

High cortisol is caused by a combination of things — emotional stress, poor sleep, physical overtraining, blood sugar swings, hidden inflammation, hormonal imbalances, relationships, social media, not enough sunlight in the morning and simply getting older.

As we age and starting in our 30's, our hormonal system becomes less resilient and the body's "off switch" for cortisol weakens. So the same stress you once shrugged off now keeps your body stuck in overdrive… What many people describe as feeling "wired but tired."

Over time, this constant demand drains and stresses your adrenal glands, leading to chronic fatigue, mood swings, belly fat that won't budge, and disrupted sleep.

Most people never connect these symptoms to their stress hormones, but that's almost always the root cause.

I remember when I was younger, I could exercise all the time, go to school, have fun with friends, barely sleep and feel fine. My body was resistant to stress. In my 30s, things changed, 40's much worse and now in my 50's, I can really tell I need more rest and to manage my stress and cortisol levels much better.

SCR targets your stress hormone system in layers, not just one pathway like most products.

  • Sensoril® Ashwagandha (350mg) directly lowers morning and evening cortisol and supports adrenal function.
  • BioPS® Phosphatidylserine (150mg) resets your brain's perception of stress so you stop living in fight-or-flight mode.
  • Magnolia Bark 20:1 Extract (200mg) and L-Theanine (200mg) calm the nervous system without sedation or grogginess.
  • Rhodiola Extract (200mg) improves your resilience so stress bounces off you rather than building up.
  • Emodin (200mg) is the most powerful cortisol-lowering ingredient in SCR and helps reduce stress-related belly fat specifically.
  • And Vitamin C (300mg) gives your adrenal glands the raw materials they need to recover and rebuild.

Together, they teach your body to relax again and when cortisol normalizes, everything else tends to follow.

It depends on your goals and lifestyle. For example, I take 2-3 pills in the evening to lower cortisol levels, which will allow melatonin (sleep hormone) production. If cortisol is high, you have a hard time sleeping and/or staying asleep. However, if you sleep like a baby, 8 hours every night, then there's no need for you to take it then.

I also take it after my workouts when cortisol spikes. I want to lower it then, because cortisol is catabolic and eats muscle - I don't want that. So if you exercise, especially hard (lifting weights, running HITT, etc.), then that's another great time to use it.

Or if you're going through a very stressful time – relationship problems (divorce, break-up, etc.), financial issues, moving, or in accute stressful situations (flying, giving a speech, etc.), then you can take it daily, throughout the day.

As far as dosage, take 1-3 pills at a time. Start low and increase as needed.

NOTE: Do NOT take it first thing in the morning because you WANT higher cortisol then. You want to gradually lower your cortisol as the day goes on and have very little at night.

Yes — cycling is important to keep your body responding optimally over time because hormones are involved. Your body is smart and adapts to everything; it's part of its survival mechanism.

You can take the weekends off. Or, take it daily, but after 4-6 weeks, take off one week.

However, if you notice it working daily and are only taking it once a day, then you may not need to cycle. Listen to your body.

Most people notice a calmer, clearer feeling within the first 30–60 minutes of their first dose. Within a few days, the edge comes off your tension and sleep quality typically improves. Within 2–3 weeks, you'll likely notice you're reacting less to stress and bouncing back faster.

For measurable changes in cortisol levels and true adrenal rebuilding, give it a full 30-60 days of consistent use. The longer you've been dealing with stress and your body has been "stressed", the longer it'll take to have your body "fix" the hormonal imbalances.

Remember — we're fixing the root cause of your stress, not just putting a temporary band-aid on it. The deeper the exhaustion, the more time it takes to fully rebuild, but the results are real and lasting.

Stress Cortisol Relief™ is very well tolerated by most people. There are no known serious side effects at the recommended doses. Because it promotes calm and relaxation, mild drowsiness can occur if your dose is higher than your body needs, especially during the day.

Granted, some people say that when they take it in the morning, they feel more alert and focused. And that's probably because they are now more "balanced".

Do not use if you are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive. Anyone under 18 should consult a doctor first.

You must never stop or adjust any prescription on your own, and I always want you to loop in your doctor. There are no known contraindications with the ingredients in SCR and medications.

However, if you are taking corticosteroids, such as Prednisone, then you should NOT take SCR because it lowers cortisol levels.

Because SCR can lower blood pressure and blood sugar, keep an eye on those levels so they don't go too low.

As always, speak to your healthcare provider if you're unsure.

It's better and different for a variety of reasons. The first is that most supplement companies create a product with one or two ingredients. Which means they address the issue from only ONE angle. Your body is complex, hormones being the most complex of all.

Secondly, they will typically use a lower dose and not the one found in clinical studies with the positive results. They will use the "root" powder, not the highest extract form, which contains all of the "power" of the ingredient.

The above is done because 95% of supplements are not designed by doctors and clinicians. They are "private label" products with cookie-cutter formulas. Of course, this also increases the revenue of the product.

Stress Cortisol Relief™ is doctor-formulated with a 12+ year proven track record. It contains multiple organic ingredients at the correct dose and extracts that address the different causes of stress.

All of this promotes balanced stress levels, cortisol and healthy adrenal function. Yes, it costs more to produce and there are far fewer profits. BUT, the product works better, it produces the expected positive results, and thus, users continue to utilize it long-term.

This is win/win and what has allowed us to be in business since 1999 with thousands of positive reviews.

Healthy cortisol and adrenal function aren't a one-week fix… They're a lifestyle commitment. Adrenal repair takes time, and consistency is everything.

We recommend starting with at least a 3-month supply to give your body enough time to fully rebalance and rebuild. Most people see the best long-term results after 3–4 months of consistent use.

Many long-term users also keep an extra bottle on hand for those unexpectedly stressful weeks or to share with a spouse. Most choose monthly auto-ship — which locks in the best price and ensures you never run out — or a 3-bottle bundle for the lowest per-bottle price.

Either way, you are protected by our one-year guarantee if you're not fully satisfied.
